Slovak weapon imports are projected to decline significantly, dropping to approximately $8 million by 2028 from around $19 million in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 13.8%. Since the year 2000, Slovak demand for weapon imports has consistently fallen at a rate of 10.9% per year. In 2023, Slovakia ranked 91st in global weapon imports, with Cyprus surpassing it with imports valued at $19 million. The top positions in the ranking were held by Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. Conversely, Slovak weapon exports are on an upward trajectory. By 2028, exports are expected to reach nearly $54 million, up from about $32 million in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 8.3%. Since 1998, Slovakia's weapon exports have seen a robust annual increase of 21.4%.
