Since 2005, the country's health expenditure has increased by an average of 1.2% a year. In 2021, India was the 140th highest spender on healthcare, behind Sudan, which spent $217.03 per person. Switzerland, Norway and Germany were the highest spenders, coming in at first, second and third place respectively.
