India's home appliance import and export are both set to climb in the coming years. In 2021, India's home appliance imports reached $61 million and ranked 45th in the world, behind Iran. Germany, Japan and France followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, India's home appliance exports reached $67 million, placing it 26th in the world. Singapore came in first, followed by Germany, Malaysia and the United States. Since 1993, the demand for Indian home appliances has increased by 8.6% year-on-year. Similarly, the country's supply of home appliances has grown by 9.3% annually over the same period. By 2026, India's imports of home appliances are expected to hit $73 million, while its exports should reach $81 million, both growing at an average of 3.2% and 3.3% year-on-year respectively.
