The rate of child mortality in Slovenia is projected to drop by 6.6% each year on average, down to 27 deaths by 2026. This is a decrease of 5.1% each year since 1991. In 2021, Slovenia was placed 168th in the world rankings, just behind Tonga (40 deaths). India, Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo took the top three spots respectively. Immunisation coverage among children aged 12-23 months in Slovenia is expected to remain stable at 94% up until 2026. This figure has stayed constant since 1997. In 2021, Slovenia was placed 79th in the world rankings, just behind the United States (94%). Greece, Mongolia and Latvia occupied the top three spots respectively.
