Serbian wheat consumption is projected to reach one million metric tons by 2026, an increase of 0.1% from 2021. Since 2017, the country's demand for wheat has grown at a rate of 0.2% annually. In 2021, Serbia ranked 59th in terms of wheat consumption, with Tanzania overtaking it at 984 thousand metric tons. India, the United States and Pakistan came in second, third and fourth respectively. In terms of production, Serbia's wheat output is estimated to reach 2.9 million metric tons by 2026, up 1% year on year. Since 2011, the country's supply of wheat has declined by 1.3% on average. In 2021, Serbia was ranked 34th, with Sweden overtaking it at 2.7 million metric tons. India, Russia and the United States respectively occupied the remaining top four spots.
