Dane wheat consumption is expected to stay at around 500,000 metric tons through 2026. Since 2017, demand has risen by around 0.6% each year. Ireland overtook the country in 2021, ranking 82nd with 500,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Pakistan came in at second, third and fourth place, respectively. Dane wheat production is expected to decrease from 4.1 million metric tons in 2021 to 3.95 million metric tons in 2026, dropping by 0.7% on average each year. Since 1966, supply has fallen by 0.4% annually. Afghanistan overtook the country in 2021, ranking 28th with 4.1 million metric tons. India, Russia and the United States respectively came in at second, third and fourth place.
