Consumption of wheat in Great Britain is forecast to reach almost 8 million metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 0.5% annually since 2021, when the figure was 7.33 million metric tons. India, the United States and Pakistan are the top three countries in terms of demand. Production of wheat in Great Britain is expected to fall by 0.4% annually to reach 13.39 million metric tons by 2026. This is down from 13.74 million metric tons in 2021. In 2021, Iran was the biggest producer, followed by India, Russia and the United States. Since 1966, British production has decreased by 0.9% year on year.
