Canada currently ranks 31st in the world for wheat consumption, with Bangladesh recently overtaking them at 2.83 million metric tons. India, the United States, and Pakistan are the top three countries for wheat consumption, respectively. Canadian wheat production is projected to reach 35.1 million metric tons by 2026, with an average annual growth rate of 1%. Since 1966, Canadian supply has grown at a rate of 0.6% a year. Canada is currently the sixth-highest producer in the world, with France overtaking them at 33.1 million metric tons. India, Russia, and the United States are the top three wheat producing countries, in that order.
