Venezuelan cotton production has dropped dramatically, decreasing by more than half in 2021 compared to 2020. Since 1966, the country has seen a 34% decrease year-on-year. This has seen the country drop from 63rd to 64th in the ranking of cotton producing countries, with Tunisia overtaking it with 404 thousand PPP (2004-2006). China, the United States and Pakistan remain the top three producers.
