Demand for Thai coconut oil is set to remain stable over the next five years. In 2021, it was estimated at 30 thousand metric tons. This figure is unchanged since 2017. Thailand ranked 13th in the global coconut oil consumption rankings in 2021, behind Mozambique, which consumed 30 thousand metric tons. China, the Philippines and Vietnam respectively were the second, third and fourth highest-consuming countries.
