Coconut oil consumption in East Timor is projected to increase over the next five years. In 2021, the country consumed 1,000 metric tons of coconut oil. This is expected to rise to 1,410 metric tons by 2026, an average growth rate of 5.3% per year. East Timor ranked 38th globally for coconut oil consumption in 2021, and was outpaced by Cameroon (1,000 metric tons). The top three consumers were China, the Philippines and Vietnam.
