Iranian demand for the commodity has remained steady since 2017, putting the country at 19th in the global rankings. Cambodia was the only country ahead of Iran in 2021, consuming 8 thousand metric tons. The real powerhouses of coconut oil consumption are China, the Philippines and Vietnam, coming in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
