Coconut oil consumption in Tanzania is on the decline. In 2021, the country consumed 11.1 thousand metric tons of the oil, down 1.5% from the previous year. This marks a decrease of 2.6% since 2017. Nigeria led the regional rankings in 2021, with 12 thousand metric tons consumed. China, the Philippines and Vietnam followed, each consuming a lesser amount.
