Exports of natural rubber from Japan are expected to decrease from $546 million in 2021 to $144 million by 2026, a 21.5% decrease year-on-year on average. Since 1993, Japanese supply has decreased by 5.3% year-on-year. Hungary was the largest exporter in 2021, followed by Indonesia, Ivory Coast and Malaysia. Imports of natural rubber to Japan are forecast to fall from $1.03 billion in 2021 to $820 million by 2026, a 3.8% decrease year-on-year on average. Since 1993, Japanese demand has increased by 2.1% year-on-year. Malaysia was the largest importer in 2021, followed by the United States, Malaysia and Japan.
