By 2026, Indonesian air passenger traffic is predicted to reach 53.2 million people. That's an increase of 1.9% per year from the 41.6 million passengers in 2021. But it's not all good news. Since 1975, the country has seen a 16% decline in demand for air travel. In 2021, Indonesia ranked ninth in the world for passenger traffic. Brazil placed first with 41.6 million passengers. The United States, India, and Ireland were the next three highest-ranked countries.
