France is set to become the second-largest exporter and importer of aerospace goods by 2026. Exports are expected to reach $53.6 billion, a 0.2% fall year-on-year since 2021. Imports are forecast to reach $26.7 billion, down 1.1% year-on-year from 2021. Since 1986, French aerospace supply has dropped by 6.2% year-on-year, while demand has fallen 10.9%. In 2021, the United States was the top exporter ($46.3 billion), followed by France ($46.3 billion), Germany ($24.4 billion) and the United Kingdom ($23.2 billion). In terms of imports, Germany topped the list ($24.4 billion), followed by France ($24.4 billion), the United Kingdom ($19.2 billion) and the United States ($18.2 billion).
