Cypriot metal import is forecast to reach nearly 800,000 metric tons by 2026. This marks an increase of 2.1% year on year, since 1975 when the country's demand rose 13% annually. In 2021, Cypriot metal import was 690,000 metric tons, making it the 101st largest importer. Myanmar overtook this position with 690,000 metric tons. Japan, South Korea and Germany came in second, third and fourth place respectively in the ranking.
