Tobacco production in Cyprus is set to reach around 44 million metric tons by 2026, a 10% decrease year-on-year. This is a drop of 7.3% since 1966. In 2021, Cyprus ranked 115th in the world, with Austria overtaking at 80 million metric tons. India, Brazil and Zimbabwe followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Cypriot tobacco sales fell by 7.1% from 2020 to 2021, bringing the total to $1.14 million. This is a 14.3% decrease since 1995. In 2021, Cyprus ranked 53rd in the world, with Montenegro overtaking at $1.14 million. Indonesia, the Philippines and Poland followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
