This is a downward trend since 1966, when production was 1.7% lower year on year. In 2021, Libya was in 78th place in the world rankings for tobacco production, with Bolivia coming first at 1,170 metric tons. India, Brazil and Zimbabwe followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
