Since 2013, the market has been contracting at a rate of 6.9 percent year on year. In the 2021 rankings, Brazil came in 14th, while Egypt topped the list with $681.28 million. Indonesia, the Philippines and Poland were second, third, and fourth respectively. Production of tobacco in Brazil is expected to drop by a marginal 0.3 percent year on year on average between 2021 and 2026, from 766,620 metric tons to 754,740 metric tons. Since 1966, the country's supply has been growing at a rate of 2.5 percent year on year. In the 2021 rankings, Brazil was third, behind India at 766,620 metric tons. India, Brazil and Zimbabwe were numbers two, three and four respectively.
