Finally, imports of fertilizer in Japan are expected to plummet by 24.9% per year on average, from 42,580 metric tons in 2021 to 8,870 metric tons in 2026. Since 2007, imports have declined by 13.7% per year. In 2021, Japan was the 62nd-largest importer, behind Ivory Coast, with 42,580 metric tons. Brazil, Spain and Thailand ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
