In 2021, Canada ranked sixth, with Japan taking the lead at 13.94 exajoules. The US, India and Russia ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Canada's energy supply is projected to reach 294.54 million tonnes of oil equivalent by 2026, an increase of 0.3% year on year. This follows a 0.7% decline since 1965. In 2021, Canada came in sixth, with Japan coming in first at 280.93 million tonnes of oil equivalent. Once again, the US, India and Russia ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
