Greece is expected to witness a slight decrease in domestic consumption of alcoholic drinks over the 2021-2026 period. In 2021, consumption reached 25 thousand metric tons, a slight drop from 25 thousand metric tons in 2017. The country ranked 52nd in 2021, behind Paraguay, India, Japan and Russia. Greek alcoholic drink exports are forecast to reach $304 million in 2026, up from $286 million in 2021. Exports have been increasing since 1993, with an average annual growth rate of 3.6%.
