Exports of British shellfish are projected to reach almost $97 million by 2026. This follows an average yearly growth of 1% since 2021, when the country held 16th place with exports of $90.2 million. During the period 2000-2021, exports increased by 1.4% year on year. The Philippines was number one that year, with exports of $90.2 million, followed by Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. Imports of British shellfish are expected to reach around $405 million by 2026. This comes after a yearly decrease of 0.3% since 2021, when the country was fourth in the ranking with imports of $407.4 million. From 2000 to 2021, demand for British shellfish fell by an average of 2.7% year on year. South Korea held the top spot that year, with imports of $407.4 million, followed by Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
