Consumption of Spanish nuts is expected to reach 464,000 tonnes by 2026, up from 417,000 tonnes in 2021. On average, consumption has increased by 1.7% year on year since 2017. Spain was the seventh largest consumer in 2021, behind Italy's 417,000 tonnes. Vietnam, India and the US were the second, third and fourth biggest consumers respectively. Production of Spanish nuts is projected to reach 445,370 tonnes by 2026, up from 394,000 tonnes in 2021. On average, production has grown by 0.3% year on year since 2017. Spain was the eighth largest producer in 2021, behind Indonesia's 394,000 tonnes. The US, Vietnam and India were the second, third and fourth biggest producers respectively.
