Consumption of edible oils in Russia is predicted to reach 2.4 million metric tons by 2026, increasing by 0.3% year on year. This figure was 2.36 million metric tons in 2021 and has remained unchanged since 2017. Russia was the sixth biggest consumer in 2021, with Indonesia consuming more at 2.36 million metric tons. China, the United States and Brazil ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, production of edible oils in Russia is expected to reach 7 million metric tons by 2026, up 1% from 2021's 6.61 million metric tons. This figure has increased by 0.8% year on year since 2017. In 2021, Russia came in ninth with Ukraine producing more at 6.61 million metric tons. China, Malaysia and the United States were the second, third and fourth biggest producers respectively.
