Meat consumption in Romania is projected to reach 1.3 million metric tons by 2026, up from 1.3 million in 2021 – a year-on-year growth rate of 0.2%. Since 2017, demand has been up by 1% annually. Romanian meat production is expected to remain level at 1.07 million metric tons in 2026, the same as in 2021. Since 1966, the country's supply has decreased by 1.2% annually.
